it's 3:15am friday morning. i've somehow appointed myself saviour of our systems at work as i received the 'high temp' alarms go off at 1:30am senmt direct to my mobile (nb: why doesn't the boss ever respond to these?). on my drive half way in (parking at the back of the mile end hotel and walking the rest of the way in under the henley beach road underpass and currie streets) i've found myself here at work with several of the servers fallen over (the second exchange server, firewall/internet, voicemail, and backup servers) to the lovely heats of above 35 degrees. i can't believe i'm typing so well right now without mistakes. hgoly shit CAPSLOCK. ok a few mistakes. after over an hour of monitoring and getting those suckers back up it's safe to say i can go home. fuck this, i aint coming into tomorrow. do they write this off as overtime, as my hours for friday? what?!!! what is the go?!! let me sing you a song..... i like big butts and i can not lie...! fuck this, i wish my data cable wasn't split in three at the soldering 0- i'sd post you some pictuers of the night time view 17 sdtories above the earth and so on and cheese and oh yeah cheese,. ovwer and out mother cunters. "HIGH TEMPERATURE ALARM IN SERVER ROOM" ;... fuck, that means me again......

i have a broken angel.
she's still sleeping last night off.
after picking her up in the evening we decided to head into town for a few drinks.
first stop the ed castle - and no, it's no longer "a gay bar". it's actually kinda nice. had a few drinks here with cody and tania, played some pinny, saw a bit of a band then moved on to the grace emily. next was the cumberland. never actually been there before and now i can confirm to myself why. we then walked to fad bar for a drink then doubled back towards tequilaria.
by the way, anyone know what happened in curry street last night? police cars everywhere. even a police helicopter.
anyway, from tequilaria we finally moved on to jive where the party was, got our dancing shoes on and went for it. good times!!!
now here's the problem.....
simone lost her mobile. seems as though someone's picked it up and turned it off. i want to believe they'll switch it back on again, and trace down the owner but instinct tells me it's gone.
and this is where it really goes wrong.
we got out of the taxi, both pretty drunk, except the driver started driving away before simone was all the way out. he pretty much ran over her foot and now it's swallen up and bruised. i feel kinda bad that i was too drunk to get his taxi number while i helped her up and across the road. the taxi driver was very apologetic but he was still an arsehole.
i have a broken angel.

i just got returned home from the beach.
hair still wet from the salty water.
wind-swept from the gust coming across the water.
my feet still gritty with sand.
sorry simone, i'll vacuum that up later.
i have this week off which is nice.
a time for me to do whatever i want.
which at the moment is not a hell of a lot.
i just decided to go down the beach by myself.
felt a bit strange going by myself at first
but pretty soon i felt comfortable
and had some fun smashing myself against the waves.
yes, waves.
who would have thought there would be waves
along west and grange beach.
the wind seems to be chopping it up a fair bit.
i must say it made the trip a lot more fun
than if it was the boring flat waters of adelaide beaches.
just thought i'd share that with you.
